Behavioural questions recur, especially in the AA round: collaboration across teams, influencing engineering, handling disagreement, and learning from failure. Microsoft explicitly values growth mindset, so a story about a failure and what you changed lands well.

Prepare six or so STAR stories covering a shipped feature, a cross-functional conflict, a data-driven decision, and a genuine setback. Keep them tight and focused on your own actions, and expect follow-ups on trade-offs you made.

• Practise product-design prompts with a clear structure and an enterprise lens.
• Rehearse metrics and analytical reasoning aloud.
• Brush up on how the systems behind your target products work so you can discuss technical trade-offs.
• Write and time your behavioural stories.
