Because sectional cut-offs are applied independently, blindly guessing to boost one section will not rescue a weak one. Sample problems with approach

Percentages: a number is increased by 20% then decreased by 20%; what is the net change? Not zero, it is a 4% decrease (1.2 times 0.8 = 0.96). Learn this multiplier trick to avoid long working.

Time and work: A does a job in 12 days, B in 18; together how long? Use LCM units: total work 36, rates 3 and 2, combined 5 per day, so 7.2 days.

Coding-decoding: if FRIEND is coded HTKGPF, each letter shifts by +2; apply the same shift to decode new words.

Seating: draw the arrangement rather than holding it in your head, a quick circle-and-labels sketch prevents the classic left/right slip that costs easy marks.

A practice routine that works

Split your two weeks into topic days. Spend the first week securing the highest-frequency numerical topics, percentages, time-speed-distance, time-and-work, ratios, doing 20 to 30 timed questions each until you can solve on sight. In the second week rotate reasoning: coding-decoding, seating, syllogisms, blood relations.

The final 24 hours before the NQT aptitude sections are for consolidation, not new learning. Trying to absorb a fresh topic the night before usually adds anxiety without adding marks.
